What a start! The intro is arguably one of the more important parts of the song (along with the chorus of course). I was pulled in straight away with the guitar melody and how well balance the sound was. The drop down in the first verse after it is ingenuous as it really helps Spencer’s vocals really stand out.

The chorus is just as strong, definitely a big fan of the harmonies that help push the main hook home and capture the listener by the collar as if to say “ Oi! are you listening!?”

Definitely getting some classic indie rock nostalgia of driving my car through the back roads of Shropshire blaring the newest single of my favourite band and feeling untouchable.

The song is incredibly well structured with a short and sweet lifespan that left me wanting more. I had to listen to the song another two times just to get that fix again and again!

The step up from their first single ‘save tonight’ is evident and made even more impressive by the fact that the first single is also fantastic. Safe to say Ben harper and Graeme lynch have done a fantastic job with the production, recording mixing and mastering of this song as it’s clearly of the highest quality.

All four of the memo’s lads should be beyond proud of the songwriting and instrumentation of this song. What a way to show off just how talented indie rock bands truly can be!

Super super excited to hear the next release and hopefully see them play live in the near future.
