This blog is about heroing music, more specifically music that really speaks to me and something that I personally believe would speak to a lot of other people as well. This typically means that we span across genres quite fluidly and Kune is no exception to the rule. This is a classical album based around orchestral choral music and it truly is something spectacular. For any music lovers I sincerely implore you to explore this music on a deeper level and really listed to the intricacies that both surround it and are embedded within it. This album is full of surprises and explorations in music which most modern musicians may miss by ignoring the classical genre.
The arrangements of the choral parts are fantastic especially at the start of the third track 'bukhnees iluu', and so are the horns mirroring the bass singers parts further on. There truly is something special about hearing the musical instruments and voices working together in unison and the suspensions and resolutions between them. Arnaud's knowledge of music is clearly at an incredibly high level with how well this music is composed and how well it translates so many varieties of emotion. The album itself contains around fifty languages and has had a team of a hundred people working on translations alone. This collaborative effort makes the music even more special as it is a grand sound made by a huge effort of knowledge and life experience.
This album is truly an experience and something I would recommend any musician to take the time to digest and experience a different perspective of how music can be made, interpreted and experienced as well. There is something special in classical music that I can't explain but needs to be experienced by every musician. Take a chance, experience something spectacular!
