Massive. The song feels huge from the get go creating its own atmosphere with a beautiful spacious guitar. The build with the drums introducing an irregular timing of chord changes is so refreshing as it’s something I don’t often hear done with new emerging artists especially not as well as this.

Ambers voice cuts through the noise like a warm knife through butter. It’s rich and so well controlled. There’s no arguing that she knows exactly how to control her voice with runs that feel so annoyingly effortless. (Any other singers out there will know just how difficult it is to have such a mature control of your voice which is something amber does so effortlessly).

The song is very well written; I actually found myself initially so captivated by the melody and chord changes that I was more fixated on the music before I actually listened to what she was singing about which just shows how brilliantly well crafted this song is.

I was honestly so so captivated by ambers voice and the whole musicality of this song. I wouldn’t dare but a genre label on it as it almost feels to be it’s own unique take on indie music with a sprinkle of anthemic rock and a dash of songwriter zest, she's cooked up something unique and tasty to say the least. It’s just so fucking good!

Her influences shine through her music with the air of Pink Floyds grand compositions partnered with the chord progressions and lyrical writing that are so prevalent in the work of Fleetwood mac and the Beatles.

It's no surprise to see she's already been picked up by big condo records already with her second release 'rain' due to be released on the 29th of November. I am super excited for it and definitely recommend everyone to keep their ears peeled for. She's also doing a release gig at the tank room in the baltic triangle in Liverpool, tickets for which you can find by clicking the button below:

I absolutely love finding new music especially music like this that feels so grand and anthemic. For a debut single Amber should be more than proud of herself. This is a song I will be showing off to people for a long long time as an example of how to write lyrics and music effectively and how to do it from day one.
